- Before you think about telling KJ Craftworks about you, let us tell you about KJ Craftworks!
This is the web site of Kathleen Nelson, d.b.a. KJ Craftworks. KJ Craftworks is and has been a family-run business since 1988. In that time, we have never lent, sold, or otherwise disclosed our customer list to any third party.

What we believe...
- KJ Craftworks is committed to keeping your private information private. In other words, we respect your privacy! Any and all information collected at this site, by telephone, or in person will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed.
KJ Craftworks will never intentionally disclose individually identifiable information about its customers to any third party without first receiving that users specific permission.
This policy applies specifically to your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and any other individually identifiable information obtained through order forms, surveys, or email (or any other methods we might utilize in the future, both electronic and not).
What we collect...
- KJ Craftworks' general policy is to only collect that individually identifiable information that is absolutely necessary for the transaction or useful for our own internal operations.
We log the domain name (not individual email addresses, just their domains) of visitors to our Web page,
the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit.
Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line may receive telephone contact from us regarding orders submitted.
What we do with it...
- KJ Craftworks does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal
information collected at our site, including order forms, survey forms or
email lists. For accountability purposes, email addresses are required to place orders. Copies of all orders submitted are sent to the email address provided along with any information we feel would be useful to the costomer to close the transaction.
No individually identifiable information is made available on our website without first obtaining specific permission to do so.
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our web page and to follow up on complaints.
Once again, we have not, do not, and will not sell, lease or share our email lists, or list of any other individually identifiable information to other parties.
Where we look...
- KJ Craftworks, occasionally analyzes our website logs in an effort to constantly improve the value of the content available on our website. Our website logs are not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link them with the individuals that actually browse the site.
OK, you caught us. Early in 1999, a user mis-spelled the domain-name part of their email address while ordering. Every attempt to reply (obviously) failed. We analyzed the logs and discovered what the correct spelling of the domain name was by seeing who had been surfing the site at the same time that the order was placed, and were able to get the customer their order without further delay.
What we might do...
- KJ Craftworks may, at some point in the future, be undertaking a voluntary registration system for users. Individuals will need to affirmatively request to join our mailing lists by signing up through a form on our web site, though a single, initial email may be sent to let our current and former customers know about the new service. We will not sell, rent, loan, trade or lease these addresses on our list to anyone, though we will use this mailing list to keep members informed of upcoming events and to market KJ Craftworks
services and products.
